Back up any important data from the SSD
Open Disk Management on Windows or Disk Utility on macOS
Select the SSD
Delete existing partitions or volumes on the SSD
Create a new partition or volume
Choose the desired file system format
Assign a drive letter or mount point if needed
Confirm and apply the changes
Wait for the reformat to complete
Safely eject or disconnect the SSD when finished
