File the shiny top layer of the gel with a coarse nail file
Soak cotton balls in acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Remove the foil and cotton
Gently push off softened gel with a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick
Rewrap and soak again if the gel is not lifting easily
Buff away any remaining residue lightly
Wash your hands
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream
