Test acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover on a hidden carpet area first

Apply a small amount of remover to a clean white cloth

Dab the stain gently from the outside inward

Keep blotting with a clean section of the cloth as the stain lifts

Alternate with a dry cloth to absorb loosened polish

Repeat until the stain is gone

Rinse the area with a cloth dampened with cold water

Blot dry with a clean towel

Sprinkle baking soda or carpet cleaner if any residue remains

Vacuum once the area is fully dry

If the carpet is delicate or the stain is large, contact a professional cleaner
