Let the wax harden completely
Scrape off as much wax as possible with a dull knife or spoon
Place a paper towel or brown paper bag over the remaining wax
Press a warm iron on top of the paper for a few seconds
Lift the paper and repeat with a clean section until no wax transfers
Vacuum the area to remove loose residue
Apply a carpet-safe stain remover if any color remains
Blot the area with a clean cloth and mild dish soap mixed with warm water
Rinse by blotting with plain water
Blot dry with a clean towel
Let the carpet air dry completely
Repeat if needed for stubborn wax or dye stains
