Park the vehicle in a shaded area or work on a cool window
Lower the window slightly if removing tint from a car window
Peel up a corner of the tint with a razor blade or fingernail
Pull the tint off slowly in one piece if possible
Spray the adhesive with soapy water, ammonia solution, or a commercial adhesive remover
Cover the tint with a black trash bag or plastic wrap to trap heat and moisture
Let the solution sit for several minutes
Scrape off remaining adhesive with a plastic scraper or razor blade
Reapply remover as needed until the glass is clean
Wipe the window with microfiber cloths
Clean the glass with glass cleaner
Wear gloves and eye protection
Avoid scratching the glass or damaging defroster lines
