Turn off the water supply
Open the faucet to drain remaining water
Place a bucket or towel under the sink
Disconnect the supply lines
Remove the mounting nuts or screws
Lift out the old faucet
Clean the sink surface
Install the new faucet with the gasket or sealant
Secure the faucet from underneath
Reconnect the supply lines
Turn the water supply back on
Check for leaks
Tighten connections if needed
