Turn off the water supply to the bathtub
Open the faucet to release any remaining water
Cover the drain with a stopper or cloth
Remove the faucet handle or trim plate
Unscrew and detach the old faucet
Clean the pipe threads and mounting area
Apply plumber’s tape to the new faucet threads if needed
Install the new faucet and tighten it securely
Reattach the handle or trim plate
Turn the water supply back on
Test the faucet for leaks and proper flow
