Put on gloves if desired
Place the plunger cup over the drain opening
Make sure enough water covers the plunger cup
Press down gently to create a seal
Push and pull the plunger up and down firmly
Keep the seal intact while plunging
Repeat several times
Lift the plunger to check if the water drains
Repeat if needed
Clean the plunger after use
