How to Adjust PRV Valve?

Verify the system is isolated, depressurized, and locked out

Confirm the PRV type, setpoint range, and manufacturer instructions

Check inlet and outlet pressures with calibrated gauges

Loosen the locknut or seal on the adjustment screw

Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase set pressure

Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise to decrease set pressure

Make small adjustments only

Recheck the set pressure after each adjustment

Restore system pressure and confirm valve operation

Tighten the locknut or reinstall the seal after setting is correct

Record the final set pressure and adjustment date
