Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine
Press the odometer/trip button until the trip display shows the odometer
Turn the ignition off
Press and hold the trip button
Turn the ignition back to ON while continuing to hold the trip button
Keep holding until the maintenance light starts flashing and then turns off
Release the trip button
Turn the ignition off and then start the car to confirm the light is reset
