Press and hold the Power button until the screen turns off (10–15 seconds)
Wait 10–30 seconds
Press the Power button again to turn the notebook back on
If the notebook is frozen: press and hold the Power button for 20–30 seconds, then release and wait 10 seconds
If it still won’t restart: unplug the power adapter, remove any connected USB devices, then press and hold the Power button for 20–30 seconds
Plug the power adapter back in
Press the Power button to start the notebook
If you can access Windows: open the Start menu
Select Power
Choose Restart
