Wash the skin immediately with soap and cool water
Rinse under running water for several minutes
Wash any clothing, shoes, gloves, and tools that may have touched the plant
Clean under fingernails thoroughly
Apply cool compresses to the rash
Take colloidal oatmeal baths
Use calamine lotion
Use hydrocortisone cream as directed on the label
Take an oral antihistamine for itching if needed
Avoid scratching the rash
Keep the affected area clean and dry
Use loose, breathable clothing
Seek medical care if the rash is severe, widespread, on the face or genitals, or if there is swelling, fever, or trouble breathing
