Preheat the oven to 400°F
Pat the turkey drumsticks dry with paper towels
Rub the drumsticks with oil or melted butter
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and any preferred herbs
Place the drumsticks on a foil-lined baking sheet or in a roasting pan
Add a rack under the drumsticks if desired for better airflow
Roast for 20 minutes
Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F
Continue roasting for 45 to 75 minutes
Baste occasionally with pan juices or butter if desired
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part without touching bone
Let the drumsticks rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving
