Install fresh batteries in the GE universal remote
Turn on the device you want to control
Find the correct code for your device brand in the GE remote code list
Press and hold the Setup button until the red light stays on
Press the device button you want to program
Enter the 4-digit code using the number buttons
Point the remote at the device and test the power and volume buttons
If the device does not respond, repeat the steps with the next code for that brand
If no code works, use the code search method in the remote manual
Save the working code once the device responds correctly
Repeat the same process for each additional device
