Install fresh batteries in the RCA universal remote
Turn on the device you want to control
Find the correct code for your device brand in the RCA code list
Press and hold the device button on the remote
While holding the device button, press and hold the POWER button
Wait until the remote light stays on, then release both buttons
Enter the 3- or 4-digit code using the number buttons
Point the remote at the device and press POWER or VOLUME to test it
If the device does not respond, repeat the steps with the next code
If your remote has a CODE SEARCH or AUTO PROGRAM feature, press and hold the corresponding button until the light stays on
Press the device button
Press POWER repeatedly or follow the remote’s auto-search steps until the device turns off
Press ENTER or STOP if required to save the code
Test the remote functions again
Repeat for each device you want to set up
