Turn on the device you want to control
Find the correct code for your device brand in the GE universal remote code list
Press and hold the Setup button until the red light stays on
Press the device button you want to program, such as TV, DVD, or AUX
Enter the 4-digit code using the number buttons
If the red light turns off, the code was accepted
Test the Power, Volume, and Channel buttons
If the remote does not work, repeat the steps with another code for the same brand
If no code works, use the automatic code search method
Press and hold Setup until the red light stays on
Press the device button
Press Power repeatedly until the device turns off
Press Enter or OK to save the code
Test the remote again
Repeat for each device you want to program
