Insert batteries into the universal remote
Find the TV brand code in the remote manual
Press and hold the Setup or Code Search button until the indicator light turns on
Press the TV button on the remote
Enter the TV brand code using the number buttons
Wait for the indicator light to turn off or blink
Test the Power, Volume, and Channel buttons
If the remote does not work, repeat with another code for the same brand
If no code works, use the auto-search method in the remote manual
Save the code if the remote requires confirmation
Replace the batteries if the remote still does not respond
