Rinse the baby carrots under cold water
Place them in a steamer basket
Add 1 to 2 inches of water to a pot
Bring the water to a boil
Set the steamer basket over the boiling water
Cover the pot with a lid
Steam the carrots for 5 to 8 minutes
Check for tenderness with a fork
Remove the carrots from the steamer
Season as desired and serve
