Open Services
Find Windows Update
Right-click Windows Update
Click Stop
Open Services
Find Windows Update Medic Service
Right-click Windows Update Medic Service
Click Stop
Open Group Policy Editor
Go to Computer Configuration
Go to Administrative Templates
Go to Windows Components
Go to Windows Update
Open Configure Automatic Updates
Set it to Disabled
Open Registry Editor
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsWindowsUpdateAU
Set NoAutoUpdate to 1
Set AUOptions to 1
Open Metered connection settings
Turn on Metered connection
Disable active hours auto-restart
Uninstall third-party update tools if not needed
Restart the PC
