File the top coat lightly with a nail file
Soak cotton balls in acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip with aluminum foil or use nail clips
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Check one nail and gently lift the softened gel with a cuticle pusher or orange stick
Rewrap any nails that are not ready and soak a few more minutes
Gently buff away any remaining gel
Wash your hands
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream
