Cut the beef into thin slices or small pieces
Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda evenly over the beef
Use about 1/2 teaspoon baking soda per 1 pound of beef
Toss the beef to coat it well
Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes
Rinse the beef thoroughly with cold water
Pat the beef dry with paper towels
Cook the beef as desired
Do not leave the baking soda on too long
Do not use too much baking soda
