Use the microwave defrost setting in short bursts, rotating often
Submerge the chicken in a sealed leakproof bag in cold water
Change the cold water every 30 minutes
Separate pieces if possible to speed thawing
Cook immediately after thawing by cold water or microwave
Do not thaw chicken at room temperature
Use smaller portions for faster thawing
