Continue treatment for the full recommended time, even if symptoms improve
Change socks daily, or more often if feet get sweaty
Wear breathable shoes and avoid tight footwear
Rotate shoes to let them dry out between wears
Use antifungal powder in shoes if needed
Keep feet cool and dry
Avoid walking barefoot in public showers, locker rooms, and pool areas
Do not share towels, socks, or shoes
Wash towels, socks, and bedding regularly in hot water if possible
Trim toenails and keep them clean
Use a separate towel for infected feet
Disinfect shower floors, tubs, and bathroom surfaces regularly
Seek medical care if symptoms are severe, spreading, painful, or not improving after treatment
