Make sure the propane tank is connected and the valve is closed
Open the griddle lid
Turn the burner control knobs to the off position
Slowly open the propane tank valve
Push in and turn the first burner knob to the ignite or high position
Press the igniter button until the burner lights
If there is no igniter, use a long lighter at the burner opening
Turn on the remaining burners as needed
Adjust the flame to the desired heat setting
Close the lid only after the griddle is lit and heating properly
