Select the cell where you want vertical text
Go to the Home tab
Click Orientation in the Alignment group
Select Vertical Text or Rotate Text Up/Down
Or right-click the cell and choose Format Cells
Open the Alignment tab
Under Orientation, set the text direction vertically
Click OK
To type one letter per line, press Alt + Enter after each character while editing the cell
