Use saline nasal spray or saline rinse
Blow your nose gently, one nostril at a time
Inhale steam from a warm shower or bowl of hot water
Drink plenty of fluids
Use a humidifier or vaporizer
Sleep with your head elevated
Apply a warm compress over your nose and sinuses
Try over-the-counter decongestants if appropriate
Avoid smoke, strong odors, and dry air
Rest as much as possible
