If you remember the passcode, enter it correctly
If you forgot the passcode, use Recovery Mode with a computer
Connect the iPad to a Mac or PC
Open Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows or older macOS
Put the iPad into Recovery Mode
Select Restore when prompted
Set up the iPad again after it erases
If Find My iPad is enabled, use iCloud.com/find
Sign in with your Apple ID
Select the disabled iPad
Choose Erase iPad
Restore from a backup if available
If Activation Lock appears, enter the Apple ID and password
If you cannot restore it yourself, contact Apple Support
Visit an Apple Store or authorized service provider with proof of purchase
