Remove the cap and check the mouthpiece
Shake the inhaler well
Breathe out fully
Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and seal your lips around it
Start to breathe in slowly and deeply
Press down on the inhaler once as you inhale
Keep breathing in slowly and deeply
Hold your breath for about 10 seconds
Breathe out slowly
If another puff is needed, wait about 30 to 60 seconds and repeat
Replace the cap
Rinse your mouth if instructed by your doctor or if using a steroid inhaler
