Use only 3% hydrogen peroxide
Warm the bottle to room temperature
Lie on your side with the affected ear facing up
Place 2 to 3 drops into the ear
Keep the ear facing up for 5 to 10 minutes
Let the bubbling happen
Sit up and let the liquid drain out onto a tissue
Wipe only the outer ear
Repeat once daily for up to 3 to 5 days if needed
Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or worsening symptoms
Do not use if you have a ruptured eardrum, ear tubes, ear infection, or ear surgery history
Do not use cotton swabs inside the ear
Seek medical care if symptoms persist or hearing does not improve
