Fill the steamer with water up to the recommended level
Place the food in the steamer basket or tray
Make sure the food is cut into even pieces for uniform cooking
Cover the steamer with the lid
Turn on the steamer and set the cooking time
Check the water level during cooking if needed
Avoid opening the lid too often
Remove the food carefully when it is done
Turn off the steamer after use
Unplug the steamer and let it cool
Empty any remaining water
Clean the steamer basket, tray, and base after cooling
