Read the device manual before use
Check with a healthcare professional if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, epilepsy, heart problems, or broken skin
Wash and dry the skin where the pads will be placed
Make sure the machine is turned off before attaching electrodes
Place the pads on clean, intact skin around the painful area
Do not place pads on the head, throat, chest, or directly over the heart
Do not place pads on open wounds, irritated skin, or infected areas
Connect the lead wires securely to the pads and machine
Turn the machine on at the lowest intensity setting
Increase intensity slowly until you feel a strong but comfortable tingling
Use the machine for the time recommended in the manual or by your clinician
Do not use it while sleeping, driving, or bathing
Stop use if you feel pain, dizziness, skin irritation, or discomfort
Turn the machine off before removing the pads
Remove the pads gently from the skin
Clean the skin and store the pads and device properly after use
Replace worn-out pads when they no longer stick well
Keep the device and electrodes away from water unless the manual says otherwise
