Clean the tent thoroughly and let it dry completely
Inspect the fabric, seams, zippers, and floor for damage
Repair any tears, holes, or loose stitching
Apply seam sealer to all stitched seams
Reapply waterproof coating to the rainfly and tent body if needed
Use a spray-on or wash-in waterproofing treatment made for tents
Treat the tent floor with a durable water repellent or floor-specific waterproofing product
Recoat worn areas more heavily, especially high-contact spots
Let all treated areas cure fully before packing or using the tent
Test the tent with a light spray of water before your trip
Reapply waterproofing regularly based on use and weather exposure
Store the tent dry in a cool, ventilated place
