How to Prepare Hard Boiled Eggs?

Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan

Add cold water until the eggs are covered by about 1 inch

Put the saucepan on the stove over medium-high heat

Bring the water to a rolling boil

Turn off the heat

Cover the pan with a lid

Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 9 to 12 minutes

Drain the hot water

Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water

Let the eggs cool for 5 to 10 minutes

Tap the eggs on a hard surface

Peel off the shells

Rinse the eggs if needed

Serve or store in the refrigerator
