Place a clean collection device over the toilet if needed
Pass stool into the collection device or a clean, dry container
Use the collection stick or spoon to take the required amount
Fill the container only as instructed
Close the container tightly
Label the container if required
Wash your hands after collecting the sample
Store the sample as instructed
Deliver the sample to the lab as soon as possible
