Sort clothes by color, fabric, and washing instructions
Check pockets and remove loose items
Close zippers and fasten hooks
Turn clothes inside out if needed
Load clothes into the drum without overfilling
Add detergent to the detergent compartment or as directed
Add fabric softener if desired
Select the appropriate wash program
Set the water temperature if available
Choose the spin speed if available
Press the start button
Wait for the wash cycle to finish
Remove clothes promptly after the cycle ends
Clean the lint filter if needed
Leave the door open briefly to let the drum dry
