Empty the coffee machine and remove any used filter or grounds
Fill the water reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water
Place a carafe or cup under the brew basket
Start a brew cycle and let it run halfway
Turn off the machine and let the vinegar solution sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Turn the machine back on and finish the brew cycle
Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe
Rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clean water
Fill the reservoir with fresh water only
Run two to three full brew cycles with plain water
Discard the water after each rinse cycle
Wash the carafe, filter basket, and removable parts with warm soapy water
Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth
Let all parts dry completely before using the machine again
