Turn off the light and let it cool completely
Remove the bulb or fixture cover if possible
Dust the surface with a dry microfiber cloth
Mix warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap
Dampen a soft cloth with the solution
Wipe the light surface gently
Use a cotton swab for small crevices and edges
Dry the light thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth
Apply a small amount of metal polish to metal parts if needed
Buff the surface with a clean soft cloth until shiny
Reinstall the bulb or cover after everything is fully dry
Repeat regularly to prevent buildup
