Remove the wheel from the bicycle
Release all remaining air from the tire
Use tire levers to pry one side of the tire bead off the rim
Pull the inner tube out from inside the tire
Inspect the tire and rim for thorns, glass, or sharp debris
Check the rim tape for damage or misalignment
Slightly inflate the new inner tube
Insert the valve through the valve hole in the rim
Tuck the inner tube into the tire
Push the tire bead back onto the rim
Make sure the tube is not pinched between the tire and rim
Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure
Reinstall the wheel on the bicycle
Spin the wheel and check for proper seating and smooth rotation
