Identify the left pedal and right pedal
Use the correct wrench or pedal tool
Turn the right pedal counterclockwise to remove it
Turn the left pedal clockwise to remove it
Clean the pedal threads
Apply grease to the threads
Thread the right pedal in clockwise by hand
Thread the left pedal in counterclockwise by hand
Tighten both pedals with the wrench
Check that both pedals are secure
