Empty the water tank and remove the water filter, if installed
Fill the water tank with De’Longhi descaler and water according to the descaler instructions
Reinsert the water tank
Place a container with at least 1.5 liters capacity under the coffee spouts and hot water/steam wand
Turn the machine on
Press and hold the descaling button or follow the machine’s descaling prompt to start the cycle
Turn the steam knob to the hot water position when prompted
Let the descaling solution run through the machine
Empty the container if needed and place it back under the spouts
Continue the cycle until the water tank is empty
Rinse the water tank thoroughly
Fill the water tank with fresh water only
Run the rinse cycle as prompted by the machine
Repeat the rinse with fresh water if prompted
Turn the steam knob back to the closed position when finished
Reinstall the water filter, if used
Empty and rinse the drip tray and grounds container
Wipe the machine clean
