Use clean scissors or a sharp knife to cut leaves about 1 to 2 inches above the base

Pick leaves when they are young and tender for best regrowth

Do not remove more than one-third of the plant at a time

Leave the inner leaves and crown untouched

Harvest in the morning when leaves are crisp and hydrated

Water the plant after harvesting to support new growth

Feed lightly with a balanced fertilizer if needed

Keep harvesting regularly to encourage continued leaf production

Stop harvesting once the plant starts to bolt or form a flower stalk
