Cut the cable tie with scissors, wire cutters, or a utility knife
Slide a thin flat tool under the locking head to release the latch
Pull the free end back through the locking mechanism if it is reusable
Snip the tie close to the lock if removal is not needed for reuse
Avoid cutting wires, hoses, or skin while removing it
