Turn on the device you want to control
Slide the remote’s mode switch to the device you want to program
Press and hold MUTE and SELECT until the green light flashes twice
Enter the 5-digit DIRECTV remote code for your device
Point the remote at the device and press POWER
If the device turns off, press SELECT to save the code
If the device does not respond, repeat the steps with a different code
To program TV volume and power, press MENU on the DIRECTV remote
Select Settings and Help
Select Settings
Select Remote Control
Select Program Remote
Follow the on-screen prompts to finish programming
If needed, reset the remote by pressing and holding MUTE and SELECT until the light flashes twice, then enter 981
Reprogram the remote after resetting it
