Turn on the TV and the DIRECTV receiver
Point the remote at the receiver
Press and hold MUTE and ENTER until the green light flashes twice
Enter the 5-digit code for your TV if prompted
Press POWER to test the remote
If the remote does not work, repeat the pairing steps
If needed, use the DIRECTV remote setup menu on the receiver to program the remote automatically
