Choose fabric, thread, needle, scissors, pins, and pillow stuffing or a pillow form
Cut two fabric pieces to the desired pillow size, adding seam allowance
Place the fabric pieces right sides together
Pin the edges in place
Sew around three sides with a straight stitch
Sew the fourth side partially, leaving an opening for stuffing
Trim the corners to reduce bulk
Turn the pillow cover right side out
Push out the corners neatly
Insert the pillow form or stuff the pillow evenly
Hand stitch or machine stitch the opening closed
Press the seams if needed
Fluff and shape the pillow after closing
