File the top layer of the acrylic nails to break the seal
Apply petroleum jelly around the cuticles and skin
Soak cotton balls in 100% acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil or use nail clips
Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes
Check one nail and gently lift softened acrylic with a cuticle pusher
Rewrap and soak longer if the acrylic is still hard
Gently buff away remaining residue
Wash hands and apply cuticle oil or moisturizer
