Gather the anchor, screw, drill, drill bit, and screwdriver
Mark the spot on the drywall
Choose the correct anchor size for the screw and load
Drill a pilot hole if required by the anchor type
Insert the anchor into the hole
Tap the anchor flush with the wall if needed
Drive the screw into the anchor until secure
Stop when the anchor is snug and the screw is firmly set
Avoid overtightening
