Turn on the Roku device and TV
Insert fresh batteries into the Roku remote
Open the battery compartment on the remote
Press and hold the pairing button inside the battery compartment for 3 to 5 seconds
Wait for the pairing light to flash
Wait for the Roku device to finish syncing the remote
Follow any on-screen pairing prompt if it appears
If the remote does not sync, unplug the Roku device for 10 seconds and plug it back in
Repeat the pairing button step
If needed, move closer to the Roku device and try again
Replace the batteries if the remote still does not pair
