Turn on the TV and the DirecTV receiver
Slide the remote’s mode switch to the DirecTV or SAT position
Press and hold MUTE and SELECT until the green light blinks twice
Enter the DirecTV remote code for your TV brand
Press POWER to test the TV
If the TV does not turn off, repeat with another code
To program volume and mute control, press and hold MUTE and SELECT until the light blinks twice
Enter 9 9 3
Press VOLUME UP
Press SELECT
To pair the remote to the receiver, press MENU
Go to Settings and Help
Select Settings
Select Remote Control
Select Program Remote
Follow the on-screen prompts
Test channel, volume, and power functions
If needed, reset the remote and repeat the setup steps
