Turn off the machine and unplug it
Remove the water tank, drip tray, and any removable parts
Empty the water tank and rinse it
Mix the descaling solution according to the product instructions
Fill the water tank with the descaling solution
Place a large container under the group head and steam wand
Run the descaling solution through the brew cycle
Run solution through the steam wand if applicable
Let the machine sit for the recommended time
Repeat the brew and steam cycles until the tank is empty
Rinse the water tank thoroughly
Fill the tank with fresh water
Run several full water cycles through the machine
Flush the steam wand with fresh water
Repeat rinsing until no descaling residue remains
Reassemble the removable parts
Wipe the machine dry
Check the manufacturer’s instructions for descaling frequency
